Beginning Agility

Agility for fun, focus and exercise for all ages! You’ve spent lots of time doing obedience work, now you and your dog are ready for some real fun!

Non-competitive agility is the fastest growing owner/dog sport in the US. Thankfully, your dog has to be more agile than you! A great class to take your dog to a whole new level of bonding and fun.

Beginning Agility 1:
Teaches the fundamentals of agility, positioning, basic techniques, obstacles and beginning sequencing.
Obstacles include: bar jumps, tunnel, chute, table, tire andmini teeter totter.

Beginning Agility 2:
Further work on positioning, sequencing and techniques.
Obstacles include: all the above plus; broad jump, A frame, dog walk, teeter totter and weave poles.

If your dog craves exercise, has a high play drive and a desire to run, this class is for you. Channel that energy into a fun and productive sport you can do together.

Agility is appropriate for all size dogs, from Chihuahuas to Great Danes. Dogs over the age of 10 months are accepted. For younger dogs, please see information on PUPPY AGILITY. In some cases, small breed dogs may be accepted to the puppy class. Good physical health is a must. Dogs must be able to run safely and not have muscle or joint diseases or conditions.

Pre-requisite: Basic Commands such as; come, sit, down, focus, stay, wait.

6 week course, 1 hour a week - $20 - $130 depending on location.
